Daniel is a Director and recognised leader in environmental and bushfire planning, with over 15 years of experience advising on some of Australia’s most complex development, infrastructure, Defence and resource projects.
In addition to his role at Terravias, Daniel serves as a Non-Executive Director of the Fire Protection Association Australia and Chairs the Urban Development Institute of Australia (WA) Environment and Climate Action Committee. Through these leadership positions, he contributes to industry advocacy, policy development and the advancement of best-practice approaches to balancing environmental outcomes, community safety and sustainable development.
Daniel’s expertise combines a strong foundation in ecology and environmental science with Level 3 Bushfire Planning and Design (BPAD) accreditation and postgraduate qualifications in bushfire management. This unique blend of environmental and bushfire planning expertise enables him to provide integrated, strategic advice on project approvals, risk management and development outcomes.
Over his career, Daniel has led multidisciplinary projects across Western Australia, New South Wales, Queensland and South Australia, providing trusted advice to private sector clients, government agencies and industry organisations. He is recognised for his ability to navigate complex regulatory frameworks, identify practical pathways through challenging approval processes and develop innovative solutions that deliver lasting value for clients and communities.
