Matt is a Principal Environmental Consultant with 15 years of consulting experience in environmental approvals and management in the private sector across Western Australia and South Australia.
He is a team leader in Terravias’ Environmental Management team working with a variety of clients spanning across Defence, Infrastructure & Utilities, Land Development and Renewable Energy sectors.
Matt has extensive experience in Environmental Impact Assessment and obtaining approvals under Parts IV and V of the Environmental Protection Act in Western Australia and the Commonwealth EPBC Act. He is skilled at leading multi-disciplinary project teams, managing internal subject matter experts and sub-consultants to deliver robust and timely environmental approvals documents.
Matt also has considerable experience in environmental compliance auditing across a range of project types during construction phase and post approval phase, working with clients to ensure compliance with their obligations under State and Commonwealth legislation. Matt is passionate about working with clients, regulators and project design teams to find efficient and practical pathways through environmental approvals in a manner that ensures positive environmental outcomes.
Matt joined Terravias in 2025. Prior to this he has held team leader roles within mid-size and large engineering firms across Perth and Adelaide.
